Hey I'm singing in a music video!

The horror themed band I sing for here in Orlando (SHARKTEETH) just uploaded our new video titled THEY LIVE. Check it out and let us know what you guys think.

Also be sure to tune into Bloody-Disgsuting Radio this Sunday for your first chance to hear our new song LEATHERFACES POOL PARTY (Freddy and Jason aren't invited).

What happened to social networking?

When you'er in the press and media lime light it seems like you have no real place to type out true thoughts. Facebook, Twitter, even the lost and forgotten Myspace is now cluttered with people I hardly or don't even know at all (granted that's my fault for adding fans of the radio show and band).

I had a conversation with a close friend the other day talking about just this topic. I may want to express things in my life that are a tad private but not necessarily let anyone see them. Sure, I could open word press and just start jotting down stuff. But it's just not the same. Back in high school I had a Livejournal and would type everything in it. From film and video game news to problems in school and life. Seems like nowadays everything is 140 characters or less. You cannot really express yourself anymore. Twitter is a good tool for getting quick and easy news out and about without cluttering a feed, but I need the alternative sometimes.

Times like now.

Goodbye 2010

This picture pretty much sums up my 2010. Though I would like to point out the good in the year.

Thanks Scott Pilgrim for being the best movie of the year. I rarely pick up films the DAY they come out. You were enjoyable to the highest degree blowing out all the shit in the box offices this summer.

Thanks NBC-Universal for having me back. It's sad but without you, my life is an empty boring pit of setting up projectors at the Convention Center everyday and just counting down the days until I die. You excite and challenge me on a day to day bases and I couldn't be happier to be back.

Thanks Bloody-Disgusting for the opportunity to work with you. I love doing the radio show and getting people involved in horror (good or bad). Without you I'm just another fanboy....which I still pretty much am.

Thanks to my parents for helping me out in 2011. Even when times were tough for you both, you still somehow helped me out as much as you could. I appreciate that very much and hope to return that favor very soon.

Thanks to all my friends. You all have stuck around me from day one and I cannot appreciate that enough. We have all been friends for along time and we make drinking a little less depressing. But I'm sad to say this is probably our last year together. 2011 is the year of progression. Allot of you have plans and futures to uphold. I see our group dwindling drastically. But this is not a bad thing. It just means change, and change is good. I hope to meet allot more new faces in this coming year but I will never forget the ones that taught me how to drink like a champ.

Thanks to my roommates for paying rent and bills on time. This was our first year together and even though we three are all very different, we can still live together nicely (for the most part). I hope to renew for another year in 2011 and continue the pool parties in the summer.

Thanks to my band Sharkteeth for putting up with one another when shit got rough. We all could be in different side projects now but we have just stuck with it because we like the music we make and we know it wouldn't be better anywhere else. I hope to see us learn a bunch of new music and blow up 2011. (Just hope we can find a place to practice)

Thanks Dragon*con for (still) being the #1 thing I look forward to every year. Even though Star Wars Celebration came close, you still showed me you had a few grand tricks up your sleeve. I met possibly the perfect girl for me at Dragon and it felt real. Really real. But due to distance complications we ended at a good point rather then dwindling the distance into a bad break up. I miss her more and more every day, but I know I'll be able to see her again next year and have a friendly hello with her.

What do I hope to achieve in the new year? I'd like to further my career in movies for sure. With the friends I have and my job giving me more opportunities every day, I hope to end up in Los Angeles soon working with media or entertainment. I wont pin point it to one thing but I know anything in the industry will make me happy.

You will see my name popping up on imdb more and more in 2011 so stay tuned.

Moving forward?

Finding myself questioning everything today. Not sure if it was watching the mediocre Four Boxes that did it to me or what? Feeling like all my close friends have pretty much abandoned me because I'm not in their faces 24/7 to hang with me. Questioning my future and living situation. Am I comfortable or just lazy? Is going back to Universal next week a step forward in my future or a step back? I really, really would like to step out of this funk I have been in.

Wine & Horror Nights

So for about the past month and a half my horror buddy Teri and I have been holding Wine & Horror Nights. It usually happens every Wednesday after Sharkteeth band practice. Off the top of my head I know we have watched Rob Zombies Halloween and H2, Dead Girl, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams, Cannibal Ferox, Night Breed, Horror Hospital, Jennifer's Body and more. They have been amazing!!! I honestly look forward to Wednesday nights more then I do Friday nights now. It's a night where us horror fans can just sit back and enjoy fun and classic films without having to feel rushed, or have people bitching and complaining about how they don't want to watch horror. Teri and I always drink red wine while others usually drink beer or mixed drinks. So it's really Horror & Alcohol Night. lol! The event usually is held at my house but on occasion we try to switch things up.

Tonight we had a Fred Dekker double feature showing Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps. My buddy Steven Shea of Abyssmal Entertainmnet held this one and we watched them on his fantastic projection wall on blu-ray. It was an amazing time! I hope to do more real soon. Especially when the stadium seating is installed at my place. ;)

We <3 Tom Atkins if you can't tell.
