Goodbye 2010

This picture pretty much sums up my 2010. Though I would like to point out the good in the year.

Thanks Scott Pilgrim for being the best movie of the year. I rarely pick up films the DAY they come out. You were enjoyable to the highest degree blowing out all the shit in the box offices this summer.

Thanks NBC-Universal for having me back. It's sad but without you, my life is an empty boring pit of setting up projectors at the Convention Center everyday and just counting down the days until I die. You excite and challenge me on a day to day bases and I couldn't be happier to be back.

Thanks Bloody-Disgusting for the opportunity to work with you. I love doing the radio show and getting people involved in horror (good or bad). Without you I'm just another fanboy....which I still pretty much am.

Thanks to my parents for helping me out in 2011. Even when times were tough for you both, you still somehow helped me out as much as you could. I appreciate that very much and hope to return that favor very soon.

Thanks to all my friends. You all have stuck around me from day one and I cannot appreciate that enough. We have all been friends for along time and we make drinking a little less depressing. But I'm sad to say this is probably our last year together. 2011 is the year of progression. Allot of you have plans and futures to uphold. I see our group dwindling drastically. But this is not a bad thing. It just means change, and change is good. I hope to meet allot more new faces in this coming year but I will never forget the ones that taught me how to drink like a champ.

Thanks to my roommates for paying rent and bills on time. This was our first year together and even though we three are all very different, we can still live together nicely (for the most part). I hope to renew for another year in 2011 and continue the pool parties in the summer.

Thanks to my band Sharkteeth for putting up with one another when shit got rough. We all could be in different side projects now but we have just stuck with it because we like the music we make and we know it wouldn't be better anywhere else. I hope to see us learn a bunch of new music and blow up 2011. (Just hope we can find a place to practice)

Thanks Dragon*con for (still) being the #1 thing I look forward to every year. Even though Star Wars Celebration came close, you still showed me you had a few grand tricks up your sleeve. I met possibly the perfect girl for me at Dragon and it felt real. Really real. But due to distance complications we ended at a good point rather then dwindling the distance into a bad break up. I miss her more and more every day, but I know I'll be able to see her again next year and have a friendly hello with her.

What do I hope to achieve in the new year? I'd like to further my career in movies for sure. With the friends I have and my job giving me more opportunities every day, I hope to end up in Los Angeles soon working with media or entertainment. I wont pin point it to one thing but I know anything in the industry will make me happy.

You will see my name popping up on imdb more and more in 2011 so stay tuned.

Moving forward?

Finding myself questioning everything today. Not sure if it was watching the mediocre Four Boxes that did it to me or what? Feeling like all my close friends have pretty much abandoned me because I'm not in their faces 24/7 to hang with me. Questioning my future and living situation. Am I comfortable or just lazy? Is going back to Universal next week a step forward in my future or a step back? I really, really would like to step out of this funk I have been in.

Wine & Horror Nights

So for about the past month and a half my horror buddy Teri and I have been holding Wine & Horror Nights. It usually happens every Wednesday after Sharkteeth band practice. Off the top of my head I know we have watched Rob Zombies Halloween and H2, Dead Girl, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams, Cannibal Ferox, Night Breed, Horror Hospital, Jennifer's Body and more. They have been amazing!!! I honestly look forward to Wednesday nights more then I do Friday nights now. It's a night where us horror fans can just sit back and enjoy fun and classic films without having to feel rushed, or have people bitching and complaining about how they don't want to watch horror. Teri and I always drink red wine while others usually drink beer or mixed drinks. So it's really Horror & Alcohol Night. lol! The event usually is held at my house but on occasion we try to switch things up.

Tonight we had a Fred Dekker double feature showing Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps. My buddy Steven Shea of Abyssmal Entertainmnet held this one and we watched them on his fantastic projection wall on blu-ray. It was an amazing time! I hope to do more real soon. Especially when the stadium seating is installed at my place. ;)

We <3 Tom Atkins if you can't tell.

Moved into the new crypt

So I moved into my new house about three weeks ago. Second home lived in outside my parents place (because I will never go back to apartments). It's pretty nice. I live with two friends of mine who are pretty fun. Were all huge geeks in our own ways so it all works out. We have a pool and a fire place so we are covered for both summer and winter. Because come on....fireplaces are the pools of winter! After two years it's been really nice to set up all my horror memorabilia again. I have my haunted little spook shack back and it's fantastic! My buddy Steven Shea even hooked me up with a tempur-pedic water bed. How cool is that?!

Working for Bloody-Disgusting has been slow. My co-host Tex on the radio show has been on vacation for the past few weeks. David got a job in south Florida. And I have been moving. But I'm sure shows will resume very soon. Horror is SO slow in the summer. Film companies have not sent me much the last couple of weeks due to it. I'm afraid I may burned some bridges by not doing some reviews while moving. I may have to contact some PR folk and see whats the dilly.

Sharkteeth is coming back in a BIG BIG way and I cannot wait! For all those who don't know, Sharkteeth is my horror / thrash band. I have sang in this band I put together with buddy Lee Wren on drums, Carson Griffin on guitar and Stephen Daniel on bass for the past two years. Last year we disbanded once Carson left for Korea. He just got back yesterday and we cannot wait to play together again. We have more contacts in the business here in Orlando then we ever did. This should be a good year for the band. I really hope we turn into something. I'm not talking touring with Ozzy on Ozzfest or anything (although that would be cool) I would just love to be known in the Horror-Punk/Rock world. Compilation cd's a mini tours is all I really ask for. Our band has been nothing but fun from the begging and I want that to last.

I lost a close friend of mine last month. Rob (Dos) Manuel shot himself due to the pressures of life. It really hurts to know he came out with us two days before he did this dastardly deed and bought me and my friends beer and did not ask any of us for help. I cannot stress this enough. If you ever get the strange idea that life is to hard and that you cannot take it anymore and you want to do yourself in, PLEASE talk to a friend. And never drink depressed and alone. Lord knows I LOVE TO DRINK! But drinking with friends when your pissed is the way to go. You can get things off your shoulders and know that you have friends here for you at all times.
I never want to bury another friend of mine again. Rob you were a great guy and we will all miss ya you lovable son of ah bitch.

Check out this music video I did for my good friends in Empyrean!

We road tripped to Georgia and North Carolina to shoot this thing in March. It was freezing but we had a great time! I play the head cult leader who makes a woman sacrifice her first born to a golden bull head god. How badass is that? Haha. I met allot of very cool folks on the crew and we hope to do more things together in the coming months. I'm also working with Steven and Abyssmal Entertainment later this month to finish a Grindhouse style film we have been working on called Doomsday County. I play a stoner vampire in it. I know, it's fitting.

So that's what I have been up to since my last update. I hope the rest of 2010 is amazing. I need a good year because 2009 was one long road down hill with a giant bloody spike at the end of it. Gotta love break ups. Hahaha!

Ya'll been watching the third season of True Blood? Shit's been pretty crazy.

Why were all my answers not answered on LOST?

This may not be the "answer" your looking for, but it does let you delve a bit into the mind of J.J Abrams and see why everything was not laid out for audiences in black and white.

A boy's best friend is his mother...

After being a tad sick Friday I pub crawled the rest of the weekend. Had a pretty damn good time. Danced and met allot of cute girls. All had boyfriends. So most efforts were a shots in the dark. But non the less, I drank with my friends and ran into some old ones. Ran into Nicole, me and Lee's little metal sister from EDBD a few years ago. Last night I ran into bearded Justin at a bar after Erin's graduation party. He used to come by to my old house in Avalon. It's always great running into old friends. Reminding me that I need to go out more and live everyday as if it was my last. Just have fun.

Also went to the Tried & True Tattoo expo yesterday. Vinny gave me a damn good deal on my Phantom of the Opera piece. Got it done in front of a bunch of other tattoo fans and artists. Never had on lookers during a tattoo session. It was pretty cool. Distracted me from the pain. Hung with Danielle for a bit. Hadn't seen her since she moved to Texas. Had a few beers with her while she told me about her Texas adventures. Also at the show there was a volleyball convention in town. Pshychobilly-tatted up gals and highschool-college girls by the pool. I was diggin' it.

Today is mothers day and I'm spending it with my parents and their friends out by the pool with a few corona's. Took my mom out for dinner last night before going out. Also got her flowers, ah Bahama Breeze gift card and a card with all my tattoos on it with one added tattoo. I "heart" mom. She thought it was adorable. Now I'm eating watching The Blind Side. It's actually pretty decent. Not sure why so many people are giving it shit?

Had a fun weekend. Tomorrow it's back to work. looking forward to the season finally of Supernatural, Lost's second to last episode and I think Carson comes back real soon. Along with Jessi's graduation party. So many people graduating, so many drinks.

As the hand reaches through the thick soil, past the cold tomb stone....

So I was just passing by Rob Zombie's blog when it hit me that I need to keep a real blog again. I used to write all the time on my Livejournal and then posted blogs on Myspace. That eventually died so I moved to Facebook. Nobody really reads notes posted on there. I also keep a staff blog on Bloody-Disgusting.com, but I usually only post stuff I want horror fans and the whole world to see. If I want to post something on Twitter it has to be 140 characters or less. So I say fuck all that nonsense. I'm sticking with a typical blog. Haunt y'all real soon!

Hi fellow Bloggers!
